Halo Reach Machinima – Defiant Team – Episode 10

Taste of Poison

The camera opens up with maiden on the middle controller ring

Maiden – I don’t know what to do!

The camera shows paz shooting at the elites killing one

Paz – well, shoot it!

Omega – that won’t work…

Paz – then what would you have us do?

Paz keeps shooting

Omega – allow me

Omega glows and then the alarm turns off

The camera goes to maiden

Maiden – wait, how did you do that?

Omega – I can remotely interface with any technology, don’t question it

Maiden – urm… ok

Maiden then runs back to the wall where paz is still shooting at the elites

Maiden – Jarvis, bring the ships back around

Jarvis – affirmative Sierra 340

Maiden – where did we come in?

Paz – two floors up, we’ll have to move fast, especially with the gumball

Omega – I can make my own way you know?

Paz – I don’t think kicking you around to the second floor will work

Omega – no, reclaimer, allow me to make my own way, I’ll meet you by your ships

Maiden – we can’t loose you to the covenant

Paz – *quietly* not again at least, they won’t shoot him, just get to the ships then

Omega – will do reclaimer

The monitor flies off past the camera

The camera then cuts back to Yuna and Josh still on the helipad

Yuna steps backwards

Yuna – no, I shouldn’t have done that

Andriarno – I’m sorry

Josh looks away from Yuna who is already doing the same

Andriarno – I, uh

SFX – the falcon comes overhead

Yuna – lets, just, get on the falcon ok?

The 2 characters jump on the falcon and then it takes off

Note when the falcon takes off it will have to go over the training field because the covenant is glassing the planet behind the landing pad

The camera then goes back to maiden and Paz (now on the campaign level Long Night of Solace)

They run down the corridor towards the main command centre on the ship

As they enter the main command room they stop and see the covenant troopers in the room

Maiden – I’ve got a bad feeling about this…

Paz – just relax, concentrate

The covenant troops start attacking the 2 Spartans, who eventually, start clearing out the room

After the room has been cleared, the 2 Spartans look out the main window towards the super carrier

Maiden – was that there when we arrived

Paz – it must have been cloaked, we don’t have much time left

Paz starts walking away from the window

Maiden – I dunno, I reckon we could take the ship

The camera shows paz again as he walks away

Paz – stupid kid

The camera then goes to Josh and Yuna now walking up the stairs on powerhouse together

Andriarno – so what is this simulation mission anyway?

Yuna – urm… you’ve gotta defend a target from some rebel troopers for a set amount of time. So, you’ll have to give in that sniper rifle and DMR before we begin

Josh stops walking

Andriarno – can you hear that?

Yuna – hear what?

SFX – extremely quiet engines followed by a concussion rifle blast

Andriarno – look out!

Josh and Yuna run to the left just as a concussion rifle blast hits the ground where they were

The camera reveals some elites standing over the building coming out of active camo

Andriarno – I guess trainings over

Josh leads Yuna inside the building

The camera shows the elites moving towards the edge of the building and then jumping down into the water below

The camera then goes back to Yuna and Josh

Andriarno – Yuna, you stay here, radio command and get us out of here

Yuna – ok,

Josh runs down the end of the tunnel and starts shooting the elites who just keep coming at them

Yuna – the radio’s not working, they must be blocking it somehow

Josh looks around and see’s the room opposite the tunnel

Andriarno – there’s a room up there, looks like its got computers in it, would they work?

Yuna – they might, if we could get to them

Andriarno – trust me, that’s gunna be the easy part

Josh takes a few more shots and then goes back down the tunnel where Yuna is

The 2 characters go out the left hand passage way and up the stairs, Josh still making pot-shots with his Sniper Rifle

On the concrete path from the first building Josh runs and takes cover behind the stone pillar with elites still shooting at him

Andriarno – wait for my go

Yuna nods from the first building

Josh comes from out of cover and starts shooting the elites

Andriarno – ok now! Go, go, go

Yuna starts running across the pathway, Josh keeps firing his sniper and then changes to his assault rifle and follows Yuna still shooting at the elites

Once in the room Yuna goes straight to the controls while Josh reloads his assault rifle and Sniper rifle, he then stands against the wall holding off the elites as they reach the doorway

The elites keep pouring towards Josh and Yuna

Yuna – falcon Charlie 2, come in, the landing zone is cherry, we need evac now!

SFX – radio static

Yuna – god damn it, I can’t get hold of him

Andriarno – well we’ll have to think of something

Josh reloads

Andriarno – im running out of ammo

Josh starts killing the elites again

Yuna – come in, falcon Charlie two, god damn it!

SFX – dead mans click *the noise a gun makes when its out of ammo*

Andriarno – that’s it im out of ammo

Josh runs over to the computer with Yuna

SFX – radio static

Yuna – Charlie two come in, come in!

The camera shows the elites converging on the room

The camera goes back inside

Andriarno – c’mon, just leave it

Josh pulls Yuna away from the computer and down the stairs

The pair turn to exit the towards the water but see elites coming towards them

Josh and Yuna turn around again and see elites coming towards them from the other side

Andriarno – oh crap

Josh spins around and takes Yuna down into the, like shower room thing under the stairs

The camera goes above the building, in an areal shot showing the elites coming towards the building

The camera then cuts back to Long Night of Solace with maiden and Paz

Maiden and paz are running through the corridor again back towards the hanger bay

The camera flies through the pair of Spartans as it winds round the corridor and then opens up showing the pelican entering the spaceship (campaign cut scene)

Jarvis – get aboard quickly Spartans, my scans show inbound covenant forces

Maiden – we’re coming don’t worry

Paz – Jarvis, do you have the construct on the ship

Jarvis – affirmative, although he’s very annoying

Paz – copy that Jarvis, ETA 20 seconds

The camera cuts away from the cut scene with the pelican to maiden and paz walking into the room, revealing the covenant troopers attacking the pelican

Paz – this just isn’t my day

Maiden – Jarvis, initiate launch systems, we’re on the way

Jarvis – negative Sierra 340, I can’t launch while under fire, protocol indicates that you must remove these soldiers first

Paz – can’t you just –

Jarvis – negative

Paz – god damn it

The 2 Spartans run down the ramp and start shooting the elites and grunts

The camera goes through a bunch of combat shots and then cuts back to Highlands with Gideon walking towards the blue base

Duckegg – hey, urm, Gigen

Gideon turns and looks at Duckegg

Billy – for the last time, my name is Gideon! It’s not that hard to pronounce

Duckegg – yeah, whatever, look where’s Josh I need to talk to him about the whole breakout thing

Billy – oh, right, he’s not here

Duckegg – I know that, do you know where he is?

Billy – I dunno, some girl came in and took him to the command building

Duckegg – what for, he hasn’t grassed me up already has he?

Billy – I don’t think so, he seemed pretty interested in escaping to be honest, unless that girl has asked him

Duckegg – wait, what girl?

Billy – oh, the angel

The camera looks at duckegg directly

Duckegg – the… what?

Billy – oh, he said he found his angel, and that they were gunna get married and live together and have lots and lots of children.

Duckegg – riiiiight, so which Spartan is that?

Billy – oh, she’s not a Spartan, she’s one of the overseers

The camera goes through a few cycles of Jack and Gideon

Duckegg – aren’t they, like, older than us though?

Billy – yeah, that’s what I thought but I guess there must be some female pedophiles out there somewhere. Better him than me

The camera looks at duckegg again

Duckegg – you’re retarded aren’t you

The camera looks at Gideon

Gideon – urm… yeah probably

The camera then goes back to Powerhouse with Yuna and Josh

Josh – Yuna, this looks like the end

Yuna – I know, just keep fighting

Josh – but, before we die I have to tell you something

Yuna – im not sure now’s the best time josh

Josh – but it might be the only time

The elites walk into the room, but Josh manages to punch one to the ground and grabs its sword, dropping his sniper rifle

Josh manages to kill a few other elites

The camera goes outside again showing an increasing number of elites coming towards the building

The camera then goes back inside

Josh kills an elite and throws its plasma rifle to Yuna

Yuna and Josh keep killing elites, eventually Josh’s shield disappears

Yuna – Josh get back here

Josh goes back to the shower room behind the stairs with Yuna

The camera shows a few elites drawing their swords and then approaching the shower room

The camera then goes back to Long Night of Solace with Maiden and Paz

A few more combat shots of the 2 Spartans killing the covenant soldiers

Once the room is clear the camera goes to paz

Paz – we’re clear?

Maiden – yeah, can’t see anything alive

The camera shows Paz shooting dead elites in the neck making sure they’re dead

Maiden – Jarvis are you ready to take off?

Jarvis – affirmative sierra 340

Paz – ok get onboard

The camera shows the Spartans walking over to pelican, then the engineer floats past the camera

The camera then goes back to maiden

Maiden turns and looks up at the engineer

Maiden – Chris, what’s that?

Paz stops walking towards the pelican and looks at engineer

Paz – im… not sure, Jarvis can you ID the target?

Jarvis – negative

Maiden – is it dangerous?

Paz – it doesn’t seem to be, just take some recording of it and let’s get out of here

Maiden – got it,

The camera shows added text over the screen as if maiden is recording

The camera then shows maiden and paz getting on the pelican (walking behind it covered by the wings off camera as if they’re on it)

Paz – ok, we’re onboard, get us out of here Jarvis

SFX – pelican engines whirring

Jarvis – affirmative, please take your seats, the hostess will be round shortly with salted peanuts and beverages

Paz – very funny Jarvis

The camera then goes back to powerhouse with Josh and Yuna

Yuna comes out of cover and shoots a couple of elites holding them off

The plasma rifles over heats making her take cover again

Yuna pokes her head out and throws a grenade out

A couple of elites get blown up in the room

Yuna goes back into cover

Josh – there’s to many

Yuna – look, Josh, about that kiss, on the landing pad

Josh –  what? i know, it was a mistake

Yuna steps closer to Josh again

Yuna – shut up

The camera goes round the room showing an elite zealot

SFX – helmet being taken off again

The elite walks round the corner

The camera only shows Josh and Yuna from shoulder height down

The energy sword goes through Josh’s back, (phases in game)

Andriarno – aaaaaarrggghhh

The camera looks at the sword poking through josh’s chest

The camera then cuts to black

Duh duh duh!!! Is Josh dead? But how can he be if this is a flashback to his training days :O

Tune in next week for the big reveal

Yet another episode will be dedicated for flashbacks, I guess im just too imaginative

Episode 8 Defiant Team

Defiant Team – Halo Reach Machinima – Episode Eight

Escape

September 11 2542

The camera opens up on Highlands in the motor pool with a group of Spartans standing inline

*note either we’ll need a lot of fiends to help with personalized Spartan armor or we’ll film local with first level unlocks, obviously the first would be preferred

The camera looks at Billy and Andriarno who are standing together within the group

Billy – so you know why we’ve been called here?

Andriarno – nope, probably some bullshit like “try to win harder” or something

Billy – you mean try harder, to win?

The camera looks up and shows Colonel Ackers, and some ODST walk across the second layer

Andriarno – who’s that?

The camera looks at Colonel Ackers

Billy – that’s Colonel Eric Ackers,

Andriarno – not him, her

The camera turns slightly and looks at Yuna (without helmet add on)

Billy – I dunno,

Ackers – welcome Spartans, you have been summoned here for the final year of your tests, and you will all soon be joining the fight for all humanity. You should all be very proud of yourselves. That is all

Ackers walks away from the platform and the Spartans begin talking to one another

The camera looks down on Josh, who is looking up at the platform where Yuna is standing.

The camera then looks up and shows Yuna giving a quick glance to Josh and then walking the same way as Colonel Ackers with the other ODST’s

The camera then goes over to Duckegg whose standing on the other side of the room

He turns and waits to walk out the room as its blocked by Spartans

Spartan Geoff – we’ve got Capture the Flag again right?

Spartan Joel – yeah, then we’re free till tomorrow

Duckegg – hopefully not

Spartan Geoff – huh?

Duckegg – oh nothing, ‘scuse me

Duckegg squeezes between Geoff and Joel

The camera watches Duckegg walk away

The camera then goes to billy and Andriarno who are walking away from the motor pool with the rest of the Spartans

Andriarno – im telling you, she looked like an angel

Billy – yes…

Andriarno – seriously, I swear I heard, like, music and my heart flipped

Billy – wait, how can she look like an angel if all you saw was her armor?

The camera looks at Andriarno’s visor

The camera flashes white and then cuts back to the shot of Yuna walking over the platform

SFX – cheesey romancey music plays

PPE – fireworks go off around the screen and hearts fly around

The camera goes back to Andriarno and billy who have now stopped walking

The other Spartans are walking past billy and Andriarno

Billy – Josh, Josh! Josh!!

Andriarno – I’ve got to meet her

Billy – oh wait, I have just the thing!

Andriarno – urm ok?

Billy steps closer to Andriarno

Billy – this is my guide to women, it’s a very special book, like the bible, only with periods

Andriarno – riiiight

Billy – if you skip to chapter 3 it has some pick up lines

SFX – pages turning

Andriarno – are you sure abo—

Andriarno – what the hell is the… “Sanghelli Cup”?

Billy – yes, look, “I find the most attractive part of a woman is the boobies”

Billy – “I think something is wrong with my auto aim, cause I can’t take my eyes off you”

Billy – “I would like to gain access to your base. Shall I enter from the front or the rear?”

Billy – “are we playing assault? Cause my visors telling me to pick the bomb up, that’s you”

Billy – ad lib some others to choose during editing

Andriarno – you know what, im gunna leave these and try my own way

Billy – you’re funeral

Andriarno and Billy start walking again

The camera fades to black and re-opens with Billy and another Spartan standing on a Grif Ball pitch

Spartan Ben – Run it again!

Billy runs up to the ball and picks it up, 3 other Spartans run towards him

1 of the opposing Spartans runs directly at billy, who manages to jump out the way and then hit him to the ground

The other 2 opposing Spartans form up together as billy starts running towards them

Billy keeps running at the two and then jumps up in the air punching one of them in the head and then dropping on the other side of the last Spartan

He then runs to the goal and scores the point

Spartan Ben walks past the 3 opposing Spartans, who are now just getting back up, and stops beside Gideon

Ben – Gideon, you are truly gifted at Grif Ball, you’ve got the heart of a Grif

Billy – thank you coach

Ben – I’m going to be sad to see you leave after our last game next week; I’ll be loosing my star player

Billy – oh, who’s that?

Ben – you, you old knucklehead, you’re my star player

Billy – YAY ME!

Ben stands closer to Gideon

The camera pulls away and shows the other 3 Spartan’s now walking away,

Spartan 2 – I think he broke my arm

Spartan 1 – he did break my arm!

Spartan 3 – at least you can all still see!

Spartan 3 walks to the edge of the camera shot and then falls backwards (another player punches him off screen)

Spartan 3 – ow

The camera fades out to black and then re-opens up on Highlands again inside Blue base

Andriarno and Billy and Duckegg stand in blue base

Billy – so yeah, I really want to meet my family once im done being a Spartan and all

Duckegg – what if you could meet them before the end of the year?

Andriarno – what?

Duckegg – I’m planning a last ditch escape attempt with some other Spartans, you in? I could use a man with your skills

Duckegg turns to Andriarno

Billy – my skills are on the Grifball court though

Andriarno – hang on Gideon,

Andriarno turns to Duckegg

Andriarno – don’t you think we’ve tried that before? Its impossible to get away anyway

Andriarno turns to Gideon

Andriarno – c’mon

Andriarno and Gideon turn and start walking away from duckegg

Duckegg – I’ve already got the escape sorted; just need a way of getting to it

Andriarno stops walking the camera looks to the side of Josh’s visor and shows Duckegg in the background

Andriarno looks down at the floor

The camera shows a UNSC frigate going through space, (clip from Pillar of Autumn end cut scene)

The camera cuts away from blue base and to anchor nine with Maiden, Chris and an unnamed Spartan (who turns out to be Lord Marek) and some EOD troopers

Lord Marek – James, you are one of the most promising Spartan III’s, you even managed to complete your tests a year before any of the other Spartans in your class

Maiden – thank you sir

Lord Marek turns to Chris

Lord Marek – Sierra 232, are you happy to have him accompany you on this mission

Paz – sir, he’s like 12, you can’t be serious about this, cant I have Sierra 117 with me on this mission

Maiden – im 18 actually

Paz looks at maiden and then back at Lord Marek

Lord Marek – Chris, he’s as capable as any Spartan, that’s all I want to hear about this matter

Lord Marek turns away and leaves the room followed by the EOD troopers

Paz turns to Maiden again and then walks out the room

Paz – I don’t fucking believe this

Maiden follows out of the room

The game changes back to highlands inside the command building next to the waterfall with Josh, Yuna and colonel Ackers

Colonel is kept off screen or obstructed

Ackers – Josh, sierra 182, as part of you’re training you are to complete a number of practice missions. Our records indicate you are behind on the rest of the Spartans. Apparently during a failed escape attempt

Andriarno – urm, yes sir

Ackers – well, this is one of the overseers, her name is Yuna Burress, she will be part of you’re last simulation mission.

Andriarno turns and looks at Yuna and then back to Ackers

Andriarno – then what’s the mission sir?

The camera goes back inside the Grifball stadium

The dolly camera floats down the stadium round the outside at an angle

Announcer – hello and welcome to the Beta Group Grifball Division, today we have a massive game between The Delta Dominators and Epsilon Exterminators.

The camera cycles through a few shots of the Grifball stadium, fans and imported score board

Announcer – who ever wins out of these two teams will go top of the league with only 3 games to go, everyone is excited about The Delta Dominators star player, Gideon 341’s penultimate season in the Grifball league.

Announcer 2 – yes, I was talking to Gideon before this and he told me, “he really wants to win this time”

Announcer – right you are

The camera goes inside the changing room with 4 red Spartans and Spartan Ben

Ben – ok Delta Dominators

The camera shows the team looking up at the coach

Delta Dominators Team (red)

Gideon – 341 – standard armor

Josh – 182 – standard armor

Ronaldo – 337 – random armor

Santiago – 322 – random armor

Coach Ben – standard armor

Ben – we all know how important the game is, the winner goes top of the league

Gideon – and we’ll win the game

Ben – yes, we’ve all got the hearts of true champions, lets just show them how true champions play

The team stands up

Santiago *in ridiculous Spanish accent* – I will crush them under the might of my hammer

Alman01 stops and looks at Santiago

Alman01 then follows the team into the stadium

The camera goes back to the Grifball stadium where the delta dominators are walking out into the stadium

SFX – cheering from the audience

Announcer 2 – and here comes the delta dominators wearing their red kit

Announcer – yes, that’s right, however the epsilon exterminators have yet to show themselves. It could be a psychological ploy or perhaps there’s a problem behind the scenes.

The camera looks at Alman01 who looks up into the stands

The camera goes back into anchor nine with Paz and Maiden

Maiden – so what’s the mission?

Paz – it’s a grab and extract

Maiden – meaning…

Paz – we break into a covenant cruiser, take what we want and get back here

Maiden – wow, I’ve got to say, I’m really excited about my first mission.

Paz stops walking and looks at maiden, who turns and looks at paz

Maiden – what’s up

Paz – this is you’re FIRST mission?

Maiden – yeah, I’ve just graduated from training

Paz walks away from maiden

Maiden – hey, where you going?

Paz – im just going to update my last will and testament

Maiden – oh ok, I’ll be hear, you know, waiting and everything

The camera goes down to the Grifball stadium again

Announcer – oh, and here comes the exterminators

The camera shows the blue team arriving on the court

The 2 teams meet in the middle of the court face to face

Announcer – it seems that epsilon aren’t wasting any time in starting the game

Epsilon Exterminators

Geoff – 502 – same as motor pool part

Joel – 610 – same as motor pool part

Emily – 667 – random armor

Tyler – 700 – random armor

Announcer 2 – the teams will now take their positions and we’ll wait for the ball spawn

The 2 teams set up on each side of the court

SFX – beep, beep, bop Grifball

The ball spawns and the teams run towards it

Gideon reaches the Grifball first and pulls back allowing the 2 blockers (Santiago and Ronaldo) to rush in front of him

The opposing team rushes up to the 2 blockers

Gideon runs past Alman01 and passes the bomb to him

Alman01 runs down the edge of the court followed by Gideon

One of the opposing team stands in front of Alman01

Alman01 drops the bomb behind him and bashes the epsilon blocker while Gideon picks up the bomb and runs through

The 2 other blockers run towards Gideon however he plants the bomb and scores the point

Announcer – that was a spectacular play by Delta,

Camera shows a sporty instant replay thing showing the point

Announcer 2 – I think that’s Gideon’s 60^th point of the season

Announcer – yes it is, this young man sure has an amazing talent for Grifball

The camera goes down with Delta

Alman01 – nice score Gideon,

Billy – thanks Alman01, I say we do the same thing again

Santiago *Spanish accent* – si, but they will be expecting that

Billy – yeah, but everyone expects us to score, we’re awesome

Alman01 – I think he’s talking about the play

Billy – oh, right, yeah just score again

Announcer – and here’s the second ball spawn

The camera shows the ball spawning and the epsilon team running towards it, it then turns and shows Delta just turning and realizing what’s going on

Then delta team runs up to the ball as well

The camera then changes to the cut scene from Long Night of Solace where the Saber is departing from Anchor Nine

Paz – deactivating grips, initializing thrusters on my mark… mark

SFX – engines whirring up

Game changes to the long night of solace showing a saber flying away from the savannah (renamed as Washington)

Maiden – deactivating Grips, following your lead Sierra 232

Paz – affirmative

The camera shows the 2 sabers launching away from the Washington and out into space

Depending on how long this episode is we may add some from the next to make up the minutes

The camera opens up inside the Command building on Highlands

Ackers – the mission details will be briefed to you on the way to the simulation base

The camera looks over Josh’s shoulder and shows Yuna again

The camera opens up on the Grifball court again

Announcer – and that wraps up the scores at 4 a piece, who ever make’s the next point will win the game and take their place at the top of the league

Announcer 2 – yes and the looser will go second

Announcer – right you are, now it’s the break before the last round, the teams have gone into their respective changing rooms

The camera goes inside the red teams changing rooms

Ben – you guys are doing brilliant

Billy – thanks coach

Alman01 – apparently not good enough, they’re equalizing after every point we score

Santiago – inalterable Spanish

Alman01 – what?

Ben – he said “we have the heart to win, there fore we will”

Santiago – *Spanish accent* – no I said *unidentifiable Spanish*

Billy – oh, I get him

Alman01 – you do?

Billy – yeah, its so obvious, if they keep equalizing that means they can’t get ahead because all they can do is equalize

Ben and Alman01 look at each other

Ben – that makes sense…

Alman01 – no it doesn’t!

SFX – ringing

Announcer – and the teams are being summoned back to the court now, no more time for tactics, time to Grifball!

Alman01 – brilliant

The team walks out the changing room and back towards the court

The camera goes back with maiden and Paz inside there sabers flying towards the covenant corvette

The 2 sabers fly past the camera

*annoying idea but*

The camera follows the sabers through space eventually revealing the corvette and then pulling away

Paz – ok, get ready to board the ship

Maiden – im ready

The sabers fly towards the corvette

The camera changes to a custom game on zealot, so we can film on top the corvette without stupid marines and what not

Jarvis – autopilot activated, override of cockpit controls initiated

Paz and maiden drop down onto the top of corvette

Maiden – stuck the landing

Paz – brilliant, Jarvis do they know we’re here?

Jarvis – negative, the ships stealth runs are working as thought

Paz – good, c’mon James

The 2 Spartans walk towards the edge of the entrance to the ship

Paz – ok, absolute stealth, only attack if we have to

PPE – the camera shakes

SFX – engines powering up

Maiden – what the hell was that?

Paz – the ships moving, it must be going to refuel

Maiden – so…

Paz – so we’ve got even less time than we thought we did

The camera goes back to the Grifball court looking at the score board with the time remaining displayed 2:45 seconds left

Gideon has the Grifball on the reds side of the court; Santiago and Ronaldo have both left the court. The whole of the blue team is still there.

Announcer – im sure its only a matter of time before the league has a new leader, Alman01 is holding off the Epsilons but they’re incredibly outnumbered

Announcer 2 – yes there is more of them than them

Alman01 swings his hammer at the epsilon attackers while Gideon stands behind him

Billy – uhh, Alman01 do something!

Alman01 – im trying, its not as easy as it looks

Alman01 manages to take out one of the Epsilons and narrowly avoids the other attackers strike

Announcer – that’s an improvement for the Deltas, its still a mountain of odds

Alman01 runs forwards allowing Gideon to run down the side of the pitch gaining some ground to the midway part of the pitch

The epsilon runner joins the blockers stopping Gideon from running forwards any further

The camera looks at the score board again showing the time ( 1: 20 )

Announcer – with just short of a minute left, Gideon will have to make a move on the goal

Announcer 2 – yes time sure is running out

The camera goes onto Long Night of Solace with Maiden and Paz

Paz and Maiden sneak down the corridor reaching the doorway, which opens and reveals a group of Elites and grunts (happens in game no matter what)

Maiden and Paz shoot the elites and grunts

Paz -- c’mon, we don’t have long before they find the bodies

Maiden – right

Paz and maiden run down the corridor eventually coming into the zealot map

Paz and maiden walk down onto the lower part of the map

Maiden – where’s the elites?

Paz – I don’t know, but, im not complaining

The 2 Spartans walk down into the lowest part of the map by the elevators

The 2 Spartans face the camera

Paz – that’s what where here for

Maiden – huh

The camera goes back to highlands showing Andriarno and Yuna walking over towards the falcon on the helicopter pad

Andriarno – so, urm, how’d you like my armor

Yuna – its all right, I guess

Andriarno – you know, I heard they’re making a new Mark V helmet, the prototype looks pretty cool

Yuna – yeah, I guess so

The camera looks at Andriarno’s helmet

Billy – *in Andriarno’s head* I find the most attractive part of the woman is the boobies

Andriarno – I find the most attractive part of the woman is the boobies

Yuna turns and stares at Josh

Yuna – excuse me!?

Josh looks around and then turns back to Yuna

Andriarno – urm… I would like to gain access to your base. Shall I enter from the front or the rear?

Yuna keeps staring at Josh

Andriarno – urm… is my auto aim malfunctioning, its stuck on you…

Yuna turns away from Josh and walks to the falcon

Yuna – its not the only thing that’s supposedly malfunctioning

Josh and Yuna get on the falcon and fly off towards the distance over the combat grounds; we can’t go over the building cause the Covenant Super Carriers glassing the planet.    

The camera then goes back to the covenant corvette

Maiden – what is that?

Paz – its something the UNSC will need to win the war

Paz walks forwards to the artifact

The camera shows Paz’s shadow as he approaches the artifact

SFX – ominous noise

The artifact is a forerunner monitor, as im writing this I don’t know what to call it yet. Rough ideas though, so the kind of noise epsilon makes in RVB or Guilty Sparks in Halo

Concept names for the Monitor:

Discarded Fawkes               Optimus Prime

Disgraced Honor                 Origin Omega

The camera looks at the shadow and then goes back to the Grifball court

The camera shows the score board

“30 seconds left”

Alman01 – 30 seconds left!

Gideon runs the ball forwards towards the epsilons punching over one of the players making the game equal

Gideon quickly steps backwards allowing Alman01 to take his position as a blocker

Alman01 hits another Epsilon blocker leaving only Emily left for Epsilon

The camera shows the score board’s timer again

Now showing 25 seconds left, even though that last sequence probably took 15 seconds

Emily hits Alaman01 removing him from the game, leaving only Gideon and Emily on the court

Gideon tries jumping around her but she manages to block him keeping him a quarter of the pitch away from the score point

Billy – I don’t want to hurt you girl

Emily – you won’t

Gideon tries to make another pass but she blocks him again

The camera shows the scoreboard again showing 15 seconds

Gideon takes a few steps backwards from Emily

Gideon then runs to the left of her, making her follow him, he then ducks backwards trying to circle past her

She manages to block Gideon off again

Billy – god damn it girl, you’re beaten all ready, lemme score

Emily – no way, Gigen *deliberately taking the Mick out of his name*

Billy – my, name. is Gideon

Gideon jumps up into the air *increased jump height*

The camera shows the score board, time remaining 10 seconds

Slow motion of Gideon coming in to land

Time remaining 9 seconds

Slow motion of Gideon falling

This sequence continues until the time remaining is 1 second

Gideon then lands on the goal planting the bomb

Announcer 2 – he’s scored the goal, Gideon has scored

Gideon, crouching on the score post, turns slightly and turns to the camera behind him

PPE – special titles come over the snap shot of Gideon, like sport sponsors and his name and crap in Gideon’s colors

Announcer 1 – Gideon’s goal tally now reaches the 120 mark in his 5 seasons as a Delta player, he’s now pushed the Dominators 6 points ahead of at the top of the league

Gideon turns to Emily, who is now walking away from him

Billy – hey, Emily

Emily turns slightly looking behind her

Billy – re-match soon yeah?

The camera shows Emily’s helmet in a close up

Emily nods and then starts walking away again

The camera goes to reflection with Josh and Yuna

The 2 characters walk round the corner and into the camera shot

Yuna – it must be difficult having being taken in to the Spartan program

Andriarno – I try not to think about it…

Yuna – yeah, I mean, not being able to visit the places you like or… do the things you like?

Andriarno – or be with the people that I love?

Yuna – I thought you weren’t allowed to love, something about it interfering with battle strategies

Andriarno – Spartans are designed as war machines, to keep the peace and protect humanity, so I guess we’re encouraged to love technically

Yuna – *laughs slightly to herself*

The two characters walk past the camera

Then the camera changes zealot again with Paz and Maiden looking into the room

Note – origin omega is kept off screen or partially covered as to not reveal it’s a monitor, even though it speaks and what not

Origin Omega – ah, reclaimers, I did hope that one day you would return

Maiden – its… an AI ball

Origin Omega – oh no, I am Origin Omega 216

Paz – well, what ever you are your coming with us now

Origin Omega – yes reclaimers, only, those guys might want to stop you

Maiden – what guys?

Maiden and paz turn the way that Omega is looking

The camera shows lots of elites looking at the 2 Spartans and Omega

Paz – oh, hi there, urm we’re just urm… fuck

The camera goes back to Yuna and Josh on reflection, now on the balcony looking over the rest of the map

Yuna – so, do you remember anything about your life before they…

Andriarno – before they took me?

Yuna – yeah, I mean, do you remember where you lived or your parents or anything?

Andriarno – a little, I remember that I used to live on Mars, New Paris I think

Yuna – how can you be sure?

Josh looks downwards at the ground

Andriarno – I remember, something’s about my past, at least I think I do.

Yuna – how’d you mean?

Andriarno – well, ive got this vision, in my head, but I don’t know if it’s real though, but at the same time, I don’t know whether I wanna know if it’s real… or just something I thought up. For all I know I could have been born on any planet

Yuna – that must be difficult

Josh turns away from Yuna slightly

Andriarno – its worse *sounding slightly agitated*

Yuna turns and steps closer to Josh

Andriarno – how could they do that to us? They took away everything and everyone I ever loved! *shouting to himself*

Yuna steps backwards slightly

Andriarno – and my family probably thinks Im dead! Imagine what they must of gone through once I was taken *still shouting but eventually becoming more docile*

Yuna pauses for a second then steps back closer to Josh

Yuna – to care is to be human

Josh turns back slightly to Yuna

Andriarno – I’m not human, im… im a Spartan

Josh looks down again away from Yuna

The camera moves slightly to take Josh off the screen showing only Yuna

Yuna moves off screen with Josh

SFX – helmet being taken off

SFX – kissing *or* some other way of projecting the kiss on screen*

Ideas I have so far –

à Digitally insert shadows of the characters in front of the camera showing the kiss

à Alman01’s anime drawings… although this was planned only for season  2 onwards

The camera goes to zealot showing the elites looking at the Spartans and Omega

Elite 1 – they must not defile the relic!

The elites draw there swords

Maiden turns to paz

Maiden – urm… run?

Paz – do ya think?

The 2 Spartan’s set off running

Omega – hey, get your hands off me, ahhh help me!

Paz – just be quiet bowling ball

(Note untested theory but what can we film this in assault mode with the bomb, as if paz is carrying the monitor? Otherwise I have a secondary ending idea)

Paz and maiden quickly use the elevators and manage to get onto the outer rim of the map

The elites follow up the elevator but one runs to the upper middle part of the map to the keyboards

Maiden runs round the edge of the map and then see’s the elite approaching the computer tablet

Maiden – he’s gunna alert the whole ship!

Paz – then get him already

Maiden starts running towards the elite

Just as the elite reaches the table maiden an alarm starts going off

Maiden manages to assassinate the elite just as the alarm goes off

Maiden stands back up again

Maiden – oh god, no fuck, what do I do

The camera shows the covenant table

The camera shows paz and Omega taking cover behind a wall shooting at the elites

Paz – just turn it off!

Omega – if I might interject

Paz – just shut up cue ball

The camera goes back to maiden panicking around the controls

The camera cuts to black
